Viktor Frankl was a Jewish-Austrian psychiatrist and psychotherapist who developed the psychological approach known as logo therapy, which is based on the idea that finding meaning in life is the primary human motivation. He is considered as the founder of the third school of Viennese psychotherapy, after Freud and Adler. He survived the Holocaust and wrote about his experiences in his best-selling book Man’s Search for meaning. Furthermore, he published 39 books and received numerous honours and awards for his contributions to psychology and philosophy.
